Ethereum Hackathon in Denver shots and comments
I flew to Denver Colorado with one of my business partners, Erik Johnson. We wanted to have a go at a potential blockchain video game and decided to tackle a port on one of the first games ever made, Dope Wars, started by John E Del in 1984. You can visit what we have now here at http://www.cachethegame.com or if you prefer, you can see our presentation here Cache Presentation. At this stage in our story, we were drawing up sketches and making up science fiction exchanges. We decided to take Dope Wars and scratch off the New York City drug dealing atmosphere and inserted a dystopian cyberpunk futuristic angle to the picture. We added a back story to the character, the city now known as MEGACITY, and we stamped the date in 2084.
There were so many crypto geniuses at this hackathon, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Ethereum community. They made sure that we had all the tools, food, and resources to work for 36 hours. We ended up making a simple game with a lot of art, and an honestly cool backstory. We were able to work hard for the first 28 hours and we got our game to work. We then shifted into pitch mode, and I spent my last 6 hours on our pitch deck. This paid off. Below are shots from our journey. After the pictures I will post some information about where we are at now in Cache.

We got to show the crypto kitties our game, which was cool. I cannot wait to show them our chatroom and person to person exchanges.

Enough with the behind the scenes! Here’s some of my artwork.
